The minor in Asian Studies consists of six courses. The requirements are:
-
An introductory course, typically SL263 Far Eastern Civilizations;
-
Two courses in an Asian language beyond the elementary level;
-
Three remaining electives, which must be approved by the Program Director.
Students are free to take any combination of courses to satisfy the requirements for the minor. It is highly recommended, however, to select courses to form a coherent theme. To register for the minor as well as develop an individualized program of study, contact the program director, Prof. Rebecca Nedostup
