Asian Studies and Asian American Studies share many common interests, students and faculty members, along with ever-increasing scholarly links as the fields of transnational, Pacific and Asian diasporic studies grow. Each field also retains its individual identity, however, as well as separate institutional bases at BC: the Asian Studies minor and the Asian American Studies concentration within the American Studies minor. These College of Arts and Sciences' programs form the core of our curricular activity, but on these pages you will find that student and faculty interest in Asian and Asian American Studies at Boston College stretches well beyond those boundaries. It includes faculty and staff at each of the schools comprising the University, an active collection of student groups, and a series of international partners and study abroad opportunities.
