Woods College CLEP Policy

College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP)

Credit Policy

The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) offers students the opportunity to earn college credits through examination, by demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of college-level material gained through independent or prior study. On a case-by-case basis, the Woods College of Advancing Studies will accept the recommended exam score of the given exam and award 4 credits for each qualifying CLEP exam. The maximum number of credits granted is 16 (equivalent to 4 courses). Current students must obtain approval prior to taking CLEP exams for credit. Students seeking admissions to the Woods College of Advancing Studies should consult an academic advisor for a transfer credit evaluation to assess exams taken prior to admission.
