Learning Outcomes

The MS in Cybersecurity Policy and Governance at Boston College provides students with the tools and skills necessary to manage the critical and emerging cybersecurity issues faced by private industry and government today. Taught by industry leaders and practitioners, students will learn, hands-on, to identify, assess, and manage cyber risk, and to develop and implement a proactive cybersecurity strategy to effectively defend, mitigate, and recover from a cyber-attack.  

​The learning outcomes are as follows:​

  • At the end of the program, students will be able to​ design, develop, and advocate for cybersecurity investment​.
  • At the end of the program, students will be able to​ bridge the communication gap between IT security professionals and key business stakeholders​.​
  • At the end of the program, students will be able to​ identify, assess, and manage cyber risk.
  • At the end of the program, students will be able to design, develop, and implement proactive cybersecurity strategies to defend against and ensure recovery from cyber attack​s.​
  • At the end of the program, students will be able to​ manage critical and emerging cybersecurity issues​.​
  • At the end of the program, students will be able to​ promote strategies based on sound moral and ethical principles​.
