Registration, Tuition, Payments & Refunds

OFFICE LOCATION AND HOURS
The Woods College of Advancing Studies is located in St. Mary's Hall South, and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. When classes are in session, the office is also open Monday through Thursday evenings until 7:00 p.m, and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

REGISTRATION FOR 2015-2016 COURSES
Registration for WCAS students for fall 2015 courses is now open.

BC day students who have received approval from their Dean and/or major department to take a WCAS fall course may register at 8:00am on Monday, August 31, at Student Services in Lyons Hall.  Day students should take their approved forms to Student Services, where they may register for a WCAS course as long as the course is open.

Beginning November 12, continuing WCAS students may register online using UIS and pay for Spring courses via the Agora Portal; by mail; or in-person at St. Mary's Hall South, Ground Floor. New students may either submit a registration form by mail, or register in-person at St. Mary's Hall South.

WCAS students in a degree program are required to meet with an academic advisor prior to registration each semester.

After meeting with an academic advisor, all WCAS students should register online; use this link to get the UIS registration software and instructions for registering.  Students should also pay their spring charges online, through the Agora portal.

New WCAS students may either submit a registration form by mail or register in-person at the WCAS office in St. Mary's Hall South. New students may download the 2015-2016 Registration Form, or obtain a form in St. Mary's Hall South.

TUITION AND FEES
Tuition for WCAS undergraduate courses for the 2015-2016 academic year is $1756 per course.
Registration fee per semester is $25. 
For students wishing to audit a Woods College undergraduate course (without receiving academic credit) the fee is $878.

Visiting Students  (undergraduate students who have been approved to take day school courses) pay the day school per-credit rate, which is $1,618 per credit.

The required Massachusetts medical insurance for fall 2015 semester is $1190; for spring 2016 semester is $1,585. For more complete information and waiver deadlines see the Student Guide, General Information page; or go to the Medical Insurance webpage.

All fees and tuition charges are due at the time of registration.
 

WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS
WCAS students withdrawing from a course by the following dates will receive the tuition refund indicated below.

First Semester
• by September 9, 2015:  100% of tuition charged is refunded
• by September 11, 2015:  80% of tuition charged is refunded
• by September 18, 2015:  60% of tuition charged is refunded
• by September 25, 2015:  40% of tuition charged is refunded
• by October 2, 2015: 20% of tuition charged is refunded

Second Semester
• by January 27, 2016:  100% of tuition charged is refunded
• by January 29, 2016:  80% of tuition charged is refunded
• by February 5, 2016:  60% of tuition charged is refunded
• by February 12, 2016:  40% of tuition charged is refunded
• by February 19, 2016: 20% of tuition charged is refunded

There are no refunds beyond this schedule; fees are not refundable. An audit is considered a fee, and there is no refund for a student who withdraws from a course taken for audit. Woods College students may not change a course registration from credit to audit status.

All requests for withdrawal from a course must be submitted in writing to the Woods College of Advancing Studies in St. Mary's Hall South; no course withdrawal or refund of tuition will be processed without written notification from the student.
