Registration, Tuition, Payments & Refunds

OFFICE LOCATION AND HOURS
The Woods College of Advancing Studies is located in McGuinn Hall, Room 100, and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. When classes are in session, the office is also open Monday through Thursday evenings until 8:00 p.m, and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
REGISTRATION FOR SPRING 2015 COURSES
Registration for WCAS students for spring 2015 courses opens on Thursday, November 13.
Beginning November 13, continuing WCAS students may register and pay for spring courses via the Agora Portal, by mail, or in-person at McGuinn 100. New students may either submit a registration form by mail, or register in-person at McGuinn 100. WCAS students in a degree program are required to meet with an academic advisor prior to registration each semester.
BC day students who have received approval from their Dean and/or major department to take a WCAS spring course may register at 8:00am on Monday, January 12, at Student Services in Lyons Hall. Day students should take their approved forms to Student Services, where they may register for a WCAS course as long as the course is open.
TUITION AND FEES
Tuition for WCAS undergraduate courses for the 2014-2015 academic year is $1688 per course.
Registration fee per semester is $25.
For students wishing to audit a Woods College undergraduate course (without receiving academic credit) the fee is $844.
Visiting Students (undergraduate students who have been approved to take day school courses) pay the day school per-credit rate, which is $1,556 per credit.
The required Massachusetts medical insurance for spring semester is $1,498.
All fees and tuition charges are due at the time of registration.
WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS
WCAS students withdrawing from a course by the following dates will receive the tuition refund indicated below.
• by January 21, 2015: 100% of tuition charged is refunded
• by January 23, 2015: 80% of tuition charged is refunded
• by January 30, 2015: 60% of tuition charged is refunded
• by February 6, 2015: 40% of tuition charged is refunded
• by February 13, 2015: 20% of tuition charged is refunded
There are no refunds beyond this schedule; fees are not refundable. An audit is considered a fee, and there is no refund for a student who withdraws from a course taken for audit. Woods College students may not change a course registration from credit to audit status.
All requests for withdrawal from a course must be submitted in writing to the Woods College of Advancing Studies in McGuinn 100; no course withdrawal or refund of tuition will be processed without written notification from the student.
