What is the purpose of the research study?
The Diagnostic Geometry Assessment (DGA) project is a federally-funded research project. The DGA aims to develop a formative assessment that middle-school teachers can use to identify the misconceptions and degrees of understanding that their students hold in geometry. You can read about the details of the study at the DGA Research Study Page. Phase One is now complete. For Phase Two: Online Subject Tests, we are looking for middle school teachers to administer online subject tests to their students. The results of these administrations will be used to develop the full DGA test.
What is required of me to participate?
To participate, you must agree to complete two requirements:
What are the benefits of participation?
Upon completion of the above requirements, you will receive a stipend for each subject test administered. The amount of the stipend will be listed in the application form. You will also receive instant feedback about your students' performance on the online test items.
What are the technology requirements?
In order to participate, you must have the ability to give an online test to a classroom of your students (e.g., an Internet-connected computer lab). Each computer used by the students must have:
