The submission deadline for the next issue is November 6th, 2009.

Submission Guidelines

General

  1. Submit papers via email to the Section appropriate for your manuscript. Authors should attach the manuscript (in Microsoft Word© format) along with the Manuscript Submission Form. The Word© file itself should be named with the title of the manuscript, i.e. "Research Title - Sub-title.doc"
  2. Please number all pages and put your Eagle ID number on the first page. Do not put your name anywhere on the paper.
  3. Papers should be 1500 to 5000 words in length. Please number all pages.
  4. We encourage authors to submit graphs, charts, photographs, illustrations, etc. along with their research. These do not count toward the 5000 word limit.
  5. Papers do not at this time need to conform to the Elements citation guidelines. However, if your paper is selected for publication and does not conform to the Elements citation guidelines, you will be asked to change the citations before the paper is published.
  6. All articles chosen for publication will require a 200-word abstract of the article.
  7. Papers need not be the result of past or current research projects. We welcome research-oriented papers completed for BC classes as well as sections of senior theses.
  8. A Boston College undergraduate must be the primary author of the manuscript. Students may work on the research with graduate students, faculty members, etc. but the BC student must be the driving force behind the research. We also welcome papers from more than one BC undergraduate.
  9. If you are a graduating senior, you can submit for next year's issue, provided that all of the work was done before graduation. We also ask that you submit before the start of the fall semester.
  10. The authors of manuscripts chosen for publication will be required to sign a waiver confirming that the manuscript is their work and that they have rights to the article.
