The Death of Jesus: Four Gospel Accounts

Explore the four different Gospel passion narratives

Encounter each evangelist's unique insights
into the spiritual meaning of Jesus' execution

This online, self-paced tutorial is written and narrated by Philip A. Cunningham, Executive Director of the Center for Christian-Jewish Learning at Boston College. It is a collaborative project of C21 Online and the Center.

The tutorial consists of introductions to the Catholic approach to the Bible and to the Gospels, and interactive commentaries on each of the five scenes in the four Gospel narratives.

This entire learning experience can be completed in about 5 hours, though we recommend that participants view and reflect on one unit or scene at a time.  There is an opportunity to do a self-check on what one has learned at the end of each scene. Revisit the tutorial as often as desired.
