A New Addition to the Innovative Practices Database: Multigenerational Workforce Development, Settepani Ristorante & Bakery

The Sloan Center on Aging & Work collaborates with business leaders to highlight innovative practices affecting quality of employment in the age-diverse workplace. Click here to view our 43 practices, including the newest addition:

 

We are pleased to feature a set of workforce development practices offered by a very small employer: Settepani Ristorante & Bakery, with 50 employees, has demonstrated a commitment to being supportive of their employees' needs throughout the life-course, through a combination of training, mentoring and workplace flexibility. As a result, 60% of their employees have been with the company for more than 10 years and half of them are older adults. Settepani won a 2013 NYC Age-Smart Employer Award from the New York Academy of Medicine.
