New Additions to the Innovative Practices Database
The Sloan Center collaborates with business leaders to highlight innovative practices affecting quality of employment in the age-diverse workplace. Click here to view our 41 practices, including the newest additions:
This month we present two examples of different approaches to assisting employees who are struggling to balance work and elder care responsibilities. One, from the American Psychological Association, provides a basic elder care "back-up" referral service when an unexpected need arises. The other, from Duke University, provides a consultation service to employees who are needing to formulate a longer-term strategy and to make decisions about the elder relative's needs. The Center will feature other innovative practices in workplace elder care services as part of an ongoing series during the coming year.
