3 in 10 workers and 2 in 10 retirees provide financial support to family members or friends

“3 in 10 (29%) workers and 2 in 10 (20%) retirees report they are currently providing financial support to a relative or friend,” according to the 2015 Retirement Confidence Survey. The survey also found that 23% of workers and 16% of retirees currently provide unpaid care to help with the personal needs or household chores of a relative or friend.
