Half of Unemployed Older Adults Out of Work for More Than 6 Months

"In December 2012, 51.3% of unemployed men and women ages 55 to 64 and 40.9% of those ages 65 and older had been out of work for more than six months. The corresponding figure for those ages 25 to 54 was 41.8%," according to a 2013 analysis of CPS data.
