One Third of Businesses Report That Up to 15% of Workers Are Older Than the Organization's Average Retirement Age

Almost one third of HR professionals say that "between 5-15% of their workforce is already over the organization's average retirement age. ... Almost one fifth of respondents say that between 31-50% of their workers are within five years of their organization's average retirement age. Another 34% put the figure at between 16-30%," according to a 2012 Conference Board survey of 160 HR professionals.
