6 out of 10 Boomers Rank Using Their Skills and Abilities as Most Important for Job Satisfaction
The most important aspect of job satisfaction for Baby Boomers is the opportunity to use skills and abilities, with 63% of respondents ranking this as very important. The other aspects among the top five for Baby Boomers are job security (61%), compensation/pay (60%), communication between employees and senior management (59%), and the organization's financial stability (56%), according to the 2012 SHRM employee job satisfaction and engagement research report.
