Susanne Scheibe, PhD

Susanne Scheibe is assistant professor of organizational psychology at the University of Groningen. Her research focuses on how emotional experience and emotion regulation change as people age, and more recently, how such changes affect work life and the aging worker. Susanne has a strong background in lifespan psychology. Originally from Germany, she studied psychology at Humboldt University Berlin and obtained her Ph.D. at Free University Berlin in 2005. She was a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development Berlin and Stanford University. Her research was published in Psychology and Aging, Developmental Psychology, and Psychological Science and is regularly covered in the media. At the University of Groningen, Susanne teaches courses on emotions and (age) diversity in organizations.
