Sen. Scott Brown: Just ‘An Average Dad’ in the Conte Crowd
By
Fresh off his election to the US Senate, 1985 BC Law School alum and State Senator Scott Brown entered Conte Forum to watch daughter Ayla ’10 and the BC women’s basketball team play Virginia Jan. 21.It was an entrance unlike any other the proud father had made while dutifully following his daughter’s team for the past four years. A throng of media greeted Brown on the steps outside the arena, where he ook questions before heading in to sit just like “an average dad in the stands,” accompanied by his wife, Gail Huff, and friends.
Brown said he’s looking forward to the next chapter in his daughter’s life following her graduation in May. “Her season is almost over, she’s a senior. But you get older and you move on to the next challenge,” he said, adding that he’ll miss his time on campus. “I’m a big fan. I love BC and anybody who is a student athlete and anybody who is trying to learn and grow.”
