A funeral Mass was celebrated May 11 at St. Theresa of Avila in West Roxbury for Anne (Cullinane) Larkin of Weymouth, administrative assistant at the Connors Family Learning Center, who died May 6. She was 58.

A native of South Boston who grew up in West Roxbury, Mrs. Larkin joined Boston College in 1987. After working in the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office for six years, she took the position of administrative assistant for what was then called the Academic Development Center in O’Neill Library. The ADC — which provides free tutoring in more than 60 courses — was renamed the Connors Family Learning Center in 2004.

“Anne was a wonderful person,” said the center’s director, Sue Barrett. “She’s a big part of why the Connors Center is so successful.”
Said Assoc. Prof. Michael Moore (Psychology), “Anne was the type of person who did not attract a lot of attention, but made a real difference in the quality of education we provide to all of our students.  She really exemplifies the kind of person at BC who underlies our trajectory toward educational excellence over the past 30 years.”

Mrs. Larkin is survived by her husband Jack and daughter Caitlyn Cullinane,’97, of Eldorado, Ark.
