What has been your best experience at BC?

UGBC has defined my BC experience. It has introduced me to some of my best friends, taught me lessons about working with and for people, and allowed me to develop as a person. I learned a lot in the classrooms at BC, but my greatest educational experience has been my involvement in UGBC over the past two years. I am honored to serve the student body and proud to have worked with such a talented group of student leaders in UGBC and other organizations on campus.

What motivated you to become involved in UGBC?

It is my personal philosophy that you must “walk your talk” and be ready to act on your opinions. I thought the student government was particularly weak in my freshman year and to a lesser extent, sophomore year. I wanted to join UGBC to strengthen the student government and increase the expectations that students have of it.

Who have been your favorite teachers and mentors?

I’ve been honored to work with some great professionals through my experiences in clubs, particularly UGBC. Mark Miceli and Kathy Paglia in the Student Programs Office, Paul Chebator in ODSD, and Patrick Rombalski, vice president for student affairs, have all been great mentors and friends. They have all dedicated countless hours and given consideration to my sometimes crazy requests and they have helped guide me through the ups and downs of being the UGBC President.

How did BC make a difference in your life?

BC taught me how to build lasting relationships, take the most out of the experiences I am afforded, to learn from mistakes, and grow as a person. I feel like I am leaving BC as a more complete, thoughtful, understanding, and patient person. I am grateful for all the people I have interacted with that have helped me develop.
