Book Review Submission Information

catholic education: a journal of inquiry and practice

Each issue of Catholic Journal contains several book reviews of the latest publications in education, Catholic education, and spirituality. The editors welcome carefully written critiques of upcoming and newly released publications.

Content
Describe the content of the book concisely, avoiding a chapter-by-chapter precis or excessive detail. Make sure to evaluate the work critically, judging the strengths and shortcomings of the work as it pertains particularly to Catholic education. The focus of the review should be evaluation of the book, ideally integrating a description of the book within the evaluation. Be sure to maintain a courteous tone, respecting the work of the author and providing a
balanced critique.

Guidelines

The book review should be 900-1,200 words in length submitted on 8.5"x11" paper, double spaced. If you cite directly from the book, indicate the page cited in parenthesis. At the end of the review, please include your name, your institution and its location as well as your position. Please include the author, title, editor (if applicable), place of publication, publisher, and year of publication of the book. Include the price and number of pages of the book as well.
