Eagle Transport
Boston College's safety transport -- dubbed "Eagle Transportation" -- is offered by the BC Police Department and can be reached at 617-552-8888, 7 days a week from 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., except for school holidays or breaks of four or more days. Eagle Transport offers:
Van Service is available between 7:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. for individuals who are concerned for their personal safety while traveling in and around campus. Van Service is offered for the following areas:
- North: Newton Campus - Commonwealth Ave. to Centre St., including several side streets between Cotton St., Stuart St. and Commonwealth Ave.
- West: Newton Centre - Beacon St. to Centre St. including the roads between Beacon St. and Commonwealth Ave.
- South: Hammond Pond Parkway to Route 9, including Hammond St. as well as other side streets between Route 9 and Beacon St.
- East: Cleveland Circle - including St. Elizabeth's Hospital and the streets between Lake St., Washington St. and Commonwealth Ave. Several small areas off of Lake St. are also served, including Undine Rd. and Lakeshore Rd. to Kendrick St.
Walking Service is provided between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. for on-campus locations. All requests are completed by a pair of students. Each team is equipped with radio communications for immediate contact with a Boston College Police dispatcher.
Walking Service boundaries are:
- North: From 176 Commonwealth Ave. to St. Thomas More Drive, including the T Stop and Maddie's Market shopping area.
- West: Upper Campus as bounded by Tudor Rd.
- South: Beacon St from St. Thomas More Dr. to Tudor Rd., including the BC houses in the area.
- East: St. Thomas More Dr., from Commonwealth Ave./St. Ignatius Church to Beacon St./Shea Field, including More Hall and the More Hall parking lot.
