DIVISION OF STUDENT AFFAIRS

The Division of Student Affairs oversees campus living, health and counseling services, cultural and student activities, career services, volunteer service initiatives, and AHANA programs. The Division of Student Affairs is comprised of the following departments:

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES

Representatives from Information Technology Services will be available in the residence halls on Newton Campus and Upper Campus to help students get started with technology at Boston College.

Students with a computer on the BC network are required to install anti-virus software (McAfee for Windows and Sophos for Mac). Windows users are also required to install ePO security software. This software is available free to students at www.bc.edu/virus.

Students who need technology assistance are welcome to dial 2–HELP (617–552–4357 from off campus) or go to www.bc.edu/help.

BC SHUTTLE BUS

The Transportation and Parking Office coordinates a shuttle service providing transportation to the Newton Campus, Reservoir MBTA stop at Cleveland Circle, and areas near Main Campus. Schedules, maps, and additional information are available at www.bc.edu/shuttle or 617–552–0151.

 

EAGLE TRANSPORTATION

Eagle Transportation (Eagle Trans) provides van and walking safety escorts to enhance the security of all members of the Boston College community. Additional information is available at www.bc.edu/offices/bcpd, or call the Boston College Police Department at 617–552–4440.

 

RESIDENCE HALL COUNCIL

First-year students are eligible and encouraged to run for election in their Residence Hall Councils. For additional information, email RHA@bc.edu or see your Resident Director (RD) in September.
