Patrick Rombalski, Ed.D.

Patrick Rombalski is the vice president for student affairs at Boston College.

Before coming to Boston College in June 2008, Dr. Rombalski served six years as vice president for student affairs at John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, and as dean of students at John Carroll from 1997 to 2002. He was director of residential life at the University of Scranton from 1993 to 1997 and also served as assistant and then as associate director of residential life at Fairfield University from 1990 to 1993.

A graduate of Marquette University, Dr. Rombalski holds a master's degree in student personnel from Iowa State University and a doctorate in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to chairing the efforts at John Carroll and the University of Scranton on the Jesuit, Catholic mission, Dr. Rombalski has been active in overseeing campus wide discussions on university mission with board members, faculty, and students at several Jesuit universities. Dr. Rombalski's interests include organizational change and strategic planning, and he is currently leading the division of student affairs at Boston College through a strategic change process. He also volunteers with the regional accrediting agency for colleges and universities.

Since 2001, Dr. Rombalski has served as executive director of Rostro de Cristo Inc., a not-for-profit organization located in Ecuador. The program supports 15 one-year volunteers and 28 high school and college immersion groups from the United States. The program collaborates with Jesuit Volunteer Corps, Hogar de Cristo, and Catholic Relief Services.
