Freeman-ASIA Scholarship

Supports study abroad for up to a year studying language and culture in any of 15 East Asian or Southeast Asian countries.

Gilman Scholarship

sophomores, juniors, Pell Grant recipients

Goldwater Scholarship

Amanda V. Houston Traveling Scholarship

IIPP Fellowship

Any academic major leading to a career in international affairs. Provides summer institutes, study abroad, internships, graduate study. March 10 Funding currently suspended by Congress.
Mizna Fellowship

BC students only
Any academic field.

Supports travel for research, language study, internships, or service-learning throughout Islamic World.

NSEP/Boren Scholarship

freshmen, sophomores, juniors
Any academic field. Supports study abroad for up to a year, studying language and culture of a non-Western country. January 1 Get application info from, and submit application to BC Coordinator for review by BC Nominating Committee.
Udall Scholarship

Environmental public policy or health care and Native American tribal policy. Supports undergrad study at BC. March 1 Get application info from, and submit application to BC Coordinator for review by BC Nominating Committee.
Boston College Undergraduate Research Fellowships

freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors; not available to A&S freshmen
Any academic field. Supports undergrads who assist a BC faculty member in faculty research, during fall, spring, or summer semester. Usually early September, December, and March. For deadlines consult the website for your school. Formal application must be made by the faculty member who will direct research. Get application info from the Director of Undergraduate Studies in your major.
Boston College Advanced Study Grants

Any academic field. Supports student-designed research or language skills acquisition projects during summer. January 15
