Amgen Scholars at MIT

U.S. citizens and permanent residents, sophomores and juniors

Benigno and Corazon Aquino Scholarship

BC juniors
Any academic field. Provides up to $15,000 of tuition for senior year. March 15 Get application information from BC Coordinator.
Beckman Scholarship

Chemistry or Biological Sciences. Supports undergrad study at BC.   Scholarship funding has been suspended.
Beinecke Scholarship

BC Center for Human Rights & International Justice

Freeman-ASIA Scholarship

Any academic field. Supports study abroad for up to a year, studying language and culture in any of 15 East Asian or Southeast Asian countries.   Scholarship funding has been suspended.
Gilman Scholarship

Goldwater Scholarship

sophomores, juniors; U.S. citizens only
Mathematics or Natural Sciences. Supports undergrad study at BC. January 1 Get application info from and submit application to BC Coordinator for review by the BC Nominating committee.
Harriman Foreign Service Fellowship

juniors, seniors
Any academic major leading to career in international affairs. Supports internship with U.S. State Dept. in London, Paris, or Washington DC. November 1 for U.S. State Dept internship application. Applicants must first apply and be accepted for U.S. State Dept summer internship. Get info from BC Coordinator.
Houston Traveling Scholarship

sophomores, juniors
Any academic field. Supports domestic or international travel for research or study. February 15 Get application info from and submit application to BC Coordinator.
Mizna Fellowship

BC students only
Any academic field. Supports travel for research, language study, internships, or service-learning throughout Islamic World. October 1 and February 1 Get application info from BC Coordinator.
NSEP/Boren Scholarship

Truman Scholarship

Any academic major leading to career in government or public service. Supports undergrad study at BC and subsequent grad study. December 1 Get application info from and submit application to BC Coordinator for review by BC Nominating committee no later than October 15.
Udall Scholarship

sophomores, juniors
Environmental public policy or health care and Native American tribal policy. Supports undergrad study at BC. March 1 Get application info from and submit application to BC Coordinator for review by BC Nominating committee.
BC Undergrad Research Fellowships

freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors; not available to A&S freshmen
Any academic field. Supports undergrads who assist a BC faculty member in faculty research during fall, spring, or summer semester. Usually early September, December, and March. For deadlines consult the website for your school. Formal application must be made by faculty member who will direct the research. Get application info from the Director of Undergraduate Studies in your major.
BC Advanced Study Grants

freshmen, sophomores, juniors
Any academic field. Supports student-designed research or language skills acquisition projects during summer. January 15 nominations invited; March 10 applications due Applicants must be nominated by a faculty advisor. Invitations to submit proposals will be sent to all nominated students by BC Coordinator.
