A permit system is in place for the various constituencies that utilize parking at Boston College. In an effort to enhance parking and at the same time, find a way to more equitably share the financial burden of parking costs previously funded through student tuition, all permits will require a fee. For more detailed information, please select the appropriate link below:
- Athletic event parking
- Faculty and staff parking
- Student parking
- Temporary overnight parking
- Visitor parking
Overnight parking is not allowed unless qualified under strict criteria and a valid permit is obtained. Those faculty and staff holding valid permits may also park on Middle Campus after 5:30 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. Monday through Sunday.
Please note that in the unlikely situation that parking is full in both garages, overflow parking will be available at a parking lot located in Brighton and within walking distance of campus.
All aspects of parking and traffic rules and regulations are codified and each population segment above is included in the Summary of Parking and Traffic Regulations.
Parking Space Monitoring
In an effort to minimize the time it takes to find a space on campus, close monitoring of all parking areas will provide gate Security Attendants real time information on where parking can be found. This includes reserved areas, visitor areas and general parking. When you approach a gate, the attendant will identify the most convenient available space and direct you to it.
Brighton Campus Parking
At this time the only approved parking lots, for employees or students, on the Brighton campus are on Foster Street at the St. Clements building lots.
The parking lot in front of St. Clements Hall, immediately outside the doors of the building, is a M Permit lot, accessible to A or M permits. The lot across the street, on the east side of Foster Street, is a G lot, accessible to A, R, M or G permits. The lot at the north end of St. Clements is also a G lot.

Also, limited short-term paid student temporary parking permits, for authenticated emergency situations, will also be assigned to the north end lot on Foster Street.
Motorcycle Parking Permits
Vehicle access and parking privileges requires a Boston College parking permit, this includes motorcycles.
To acquire a motorcycle permit the employee or student must apply for the permit in person at Student Services.
All motorcycles are limited to G permit parking areas.
Employees may register and acquire up to one motorcycle permit per year. If it is the only vehicle being registered by an employee, it will incur the prevailing G permit price. A motorcycle permit is registered separately from a four wheeled vehicle and is not included as one of the three vehicles registered to a single permit.
A motorcycle permit is a permanent sticker that is not intended to be repositionable. The permit must be displayed on the left front "fork" of the motorcycle.
Students must pre-qualify for on campus parking and if they meet qualifications may have either a parking permit for a four wheeled vehicle or a motorcycle, not both. Students may have only one campus parking permit. The permit price is the same as that of a four wheeled vehicle.
