Athletic Event Parking Summary
  • Traffic will be directed by BCPD and signs will be posted to identify event parking areas.
  • At 3:00 PM on event days, the Beacon Street Garage will be reserved for permit holders only (Boston College–issued stickers or athletic event parking permits), and will be restricted through 15 minutes after the start of the event when the Garage will open to the general public.
    Note: Fifteen minutes after the start of an event, a limited number of spaces will be reserved on Level 2 through the duration of the event to accommodate faculty, staff, and students arriving later in the day. Also at this time, Levels 1, 3, and 4 of the Beacon St. Garage will be open to the general public.
  • The Beacon Street Garage will close to VISITORS at 3:00 PM on event days. All visitors will be asked to enter campus through the St. Ignatius Gate after receiving a visitor's permit from the gate attendant and will be directed to park in the Commonwealth Avenue Garage.
  • Campus parking lots will open 1.5 hours prior to the start of the event to the general public attending events. The general public will be asked to enter campus via the St. Ignatius Gate. Parking will be provided in various lots such as the Commonwealth Avenue Garage, Robsham Lot, and the Rec Plex.
  • The More Hall parking lot will be reserved at 5:00 PM on event days for permit holders only (BC issued stickers or athletic event parking permits) to accommodate overflow athletic event attendees when the Beacon St. Garage Levels 1, 3, and 4 become full. Level 2 of the Beacon St. Garage will remain open for BC issued permit holders.
  • Information regarding this parking plan will be posted to the BC community on Info Eagle prior to weekday events.

Football Season

During the football season, all vehicles, including resident (RF or RS) permit vehicles, must be moved off the Chestnut Hill campus by 11:00 PM the evening prior to scheduled home football games. Students with resident permitted vehicles (RF or RS) may park on the Newton Campus for home football games. Vehicles remaining on the Chestnut Hill campus after midnight will be towed at the owner's expense. Parking in the neighborhoods surrounding Boston College will also result in towing.

Parking for the games is by special permit only on BC grounds. Offsite satellite parking is available in Brighton and Needham. See the BC Eagles Web site (www.bceagles.com) for more details on game day parking and transportation.

Football Event Days

General Public Parking:
  • Visiting team fan parking is located at our Needham Satellite parking location (Accessible parking availible).
  • A complimentary shuttle system will take fans between the Needham Satellite lot and campus starting 3 hours prior to kickoff. The shuttle runs continuously throughout the game and for two hours after the game has finished.

  • Parking in the neighborhoods surrounding Boston College is prohibited and will result in towing at the owner's expense.
MBTA:
  • Visiting fans can also take public transportation via the trains of the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (the MBTA, or the "T" for short).
  • One-way trip fares are approximately $2.00 per person each way.
  • Fans should be directed to use trains B, C, or D on the Green Line to get to Boston College.
Flynn Fund Permit Holder Parking:
  • On-campus football game day parking is restricted to Flynn Fund Permit holders only. For more information about joining the Flynn Fund and receiving on-campus parking privileges, call 617-552-0772.
  • Parking lots open 2 hours before game time for a noon start. For all games after 1 PM, parking lots open 3 hours before kickoff.
  • Flynn Fund Permit holders should follow the directions listed on the reverse side of their permit for best access to their parking area.
  • Traffic will be directed by the BCPD, and signs will be posted to identify parking areas.
University-Issued Permits:
  • During the football season, all vehicles — including those of university permit holders — must be removed from campus by 11:00 PM the evening prior to scheduled home games.
  • Students with resident permitted vehicles (SRF permits only) may park on the Newton Campus near the quonset Hut for home football games.
  • Vehicles remaining on the Chestnut Hill campus after 11:00 PM will be towed at the owner's expense.
  • Parking in the neighborhoods surrounding Boston College is prohibited and will result in towing at the owner's expense.

 

Men's Basketball and Men's Ice Hockey Event Days

  • Campus parking lots open for event attendees 1½ hours prior to the start of the event.
  • Traffic will be directed by the BCPD, and signs will be posted to identify event parking areas.
General Public Parking
  • The general public will be asked to enter campus via the St. Ignatius Gate. Parking will be provided in various lots such as the Commonwealth Avenue Garage, Robsham Lot, and the Rec Plex. Boston College Police Officers will be available to direct general public to the nearest available parking location.

Flynn Fund/University Issued Permit Holder Parking:
  • The Beacon Street Garage will be reserved for PERMIT HOLDERS ONLY (Boston College–issued parking permits or Flynn Fund parking permits) and will be restricted through 15 minutes after the start of the event, when all on-campus parking will be open to the general public.
  • Certain Flynn Fund Parking Permits will also be allowed to park on Campanella Way.
  • Flynn Fund Permit Holders should follow the directions listed on the reverse side of their permit for best access to their parking area.

Women's Basketball Event Days

General Public Attending the Event:
  • Campus parking lots open for event attendees 1½ hours prior to the start of the event.
  • Individuals attending these events should park in the Beacon Street Garage, levels 3 & 4, or in the Commonwealth Avenue Garage on levels 3-6.
  • Parking is free of charge in both the Beacon St. and Commonwealth Avenue Garages on a Women's Basketball game day.

Campus Visitors Not Attending the Event:
