Completing the 5 Part process below will ensure you are not removed from the Boston College network.

Vulnerabilities in the Windows NT operating system can allow an unauthorized individual to access and use your computer. Follow the steps below to patch these vulnerabilities by downloading and installing recent Critical Updates from Microsoft and future updates as they are released. Instructions for downloading and installing most recent versions of McAfee anti-virus software and updates are also included to ensure secure operation of your computer.

Part 1: Get Critical Updates from Microsoft

Part 2: Set up Automatic Update for future Microsoft Critical Updates

Part 3: Install latest version of VirusScan Software

Part 4: Get most recent virus definitions

Part 5: Do a Virus Scan
