Jeremy & Boston College
“In one sense, BC is a large community that consumes a lot of resources. By decreasing its institutional footprint, the university shows a commitment to future generations which resonates with the schools mission of living as Men and Women for others.”
Students, faculty, and staff at BC take sustainability seriously, and have taken active steps to ensure prosperity for future generations. To illustrate this support, the University recently joined the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in High Education (AASHE) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
Jeremy & Future Generations
“It is important that we as college students develop habits of sustainability so that we can carry them out into our future careers, homes, families, and friends.”
What better time to start conserving and recycling than now? If you adopt simple habits throughout the day, you can help reduce your overall impact on the earth, which future generations will thank you for. Visit the following sites on sustainable living:
Jeremy & His Carbon Footprint
“Knowing my carbon footprint relative to the rest of the world motivates me to conserve more resources. This kind of education helps me draw a connection between my ecological footprint and leaving lights on or taking longer showers.”

Jeremy & Building Awareness
“Everyday reminders of how to decrease my impact on the environment, like seeing the sorting system in the dining halls or reading conservation information posted in my residence hall, have helped me to become more aware of how my daily decisions affect the environment.”
It is important to build awareness about the environment. Join EcoPledge to increase awareness around campus, or visit the web site of the DITC Environmental Education Foundation to increase your own awareness about environmental issues.
