Get Green Certified

The Office of Sustainability is expanding its Green Room Certification program and we want you to participate! It is designed to recognize students, offices, or individual staff/faculty members who engage in sustainable practices on campus, and encourage the BC community to increase overall sustainability efforts. Get certified to win prizes and create a greener BC campus!
The Office of Sustainability will work with any and all students or offices who wish to improve upon their achieved level and increase their sustainability awareness practices. Achievements, awards and improvements will be recognized on the Office of Sustainability’s website and Facebook page.

How to become certified:
1. Fill out the Green Certification for a Dorm or Office/Individual using the Google forms below.
2. The Office of Sustainability will contact you with achieved level of certification shortly after the form is filled out.
3. As you continue to implement new sustainability initiatives in your dorm/office remember to update the checklist.
4. Re-submit the form as your dorm or office becomes eligible for higher levels of certification to win better prizes!
Students can achieve certification based on the score received after filling out the Green Dorm checklist on the Google form. Participants are scored on their achievements in categories consisting of energy, waste production, food choices, water usage, purchasing habits, transportation, and campus involvement. There are three levels of certification: Gold, Silver, and Participant.
Offices or individuals can achieve certification based on the score received after filling out the Green Office checklist on the Google form. Participants are scored on their achievements in six categories consisting of Energy, Recycling, Consumption & Waste Production, Paper, Printing and Office Supplies, Communication & Events, and Transportation. There are three levels of certification in total: Gold, Silver, and Participant
Offices/Individuals who achieve certification will be awarded a Green Office certificate and receive an LED office desk lamp.
