In the spirit of sustainability, I would like to remind everyone that Boston College offers its employees several recycling opportunities. We are asking for your assistance in our continued commitment to helping conserve resources and protect the environment.
Each of you should have two barrels at or near your desk. The blue barrel is for mixed paper/newspaper and the black barrel is to be used strictly for non-recyclable trash. If you need a blue office barrel, please submit a request through the Work Order Center on-line.
A recent trash/recycling audit of several academic facilities clearly displayed that a lot of paper is being thrown into the black trash barrels vs. the blue recycling barrels. Please take the time to review the image below, which indicates which items should be recycled. Please help us reduce trash and increase recycling in your office suite.
