Course Information and Schedule

The Course Information and Schedule link under "MyServices" in the Agora Portal offers the features listed below:

  • Course instructors and scheduling information by semester
  • Course descriptions
  • Online syllabi and textbooks

Course Information and Schedule is limited to members of the BC community, so you must authenticate by logging on to Agora Portal (portal.bc.edu). Select "MyServices."

Course Information and Schedule is listed under "Academics and Courses" and may be accessed as follows:

  • Enter the criteria specified on the web page. Type in the instructor's last name at the end of the page if you want to find his/her courses without scrolling through the department's course listing. Click on "Get Requested Courses."
  • The Course Information and Schedule web page will display the course or courses based on your selection criteria. You will see the course and index numbers, titles, meeting times, room locations, and instructors. Click on the course number to see the catalog or section description.
  • To access online syllabi or textbook information, click on the vertical bar to the left of the course column and mouse over an icon for a description. To return to the department page, click once again on the vertical bar.
  • The "Preview" icon will open an online syllabus pdf in a popup window. Adobe 8 or higher is recommended for viewing an online syllabus. For more information about eSyllabus, click on www.bc.edu/esyllabus.
    • Searching eSyllabus by Keyword(s)
      From the Course Information and Schedule criteria page, choose " Course Syllabus." Enter the keyword and your search preference, either "Current" or "Archive." Click the "Search" button. All syllabi on the results page will have the "Preview" icon displayed. When you select this icon, the syllabus will be displayed in a separate pop-up window. Archived syllabi are searchable for 30 months after their date of upload.
    • Viewing an Archived Syllabus
      From the Course Information and Schedule link in MyServices, choose a term from a previous semester. Five semesters are included on the pull down menu. Entire the criteria specified on the web page, and then click "Get Requested Courses." If you select the pdf, the syllabus will display in a pop-up window.
  • The shopping cart icon links to BC Bookstore's lists of textbooks for the course. Textbook information is available beginning August 1 for the fall semester and mid-November for the spring.
  • The check mark icon opens the course evaluation survey, if available, or surveys for other courses taught by the same instructor. For more information about course evaluations surveys click on www.bc.edu/courseevaluations.
