Eagle Volunteers – A Sesquicentennial Program for Students
BOSTON COLLEGE:
SERVING THE BOSTON COMMUNITY FOR 150 YEARS
Eagle Volunteers is a program that offers students the opportunity to volunteer one time, or as often as their schedule allows.
Transportation is provided. Space is limited. Register below to reserve a spot. If you would like to register a group, please click go to: group registration.
Second semester will resume the week of 1/28.

The BC community has been invited to participate in 150 minutes of service during the 2012-2013 academic year in honor of the college's sesquicentennial.
Eagle Volunteers has been designated as a special program of the 150th anniversary celebration. For more ways to volunteer, contact the VSLC or stop by McEloy 114.
HOW IT WORKS:
Step 1: Choose from one of three volunteer organizations and sign up with the placement that matches your schedule*.
- Tuesday - Epiphany School
Where: Epiphany School is a full-service, tuition-free middle school.
What: Volunteers will spend time in the kitchen preparing a meal for students.
Time: Van leaves BC at 3pm and returns to campus by 7pm

- Wednesday - St. Peter's Teen Center
Where: St. Peter's provides academic support, including homework help, college
prep, and recreational opportunities to middle school and high school youth.
What: Volunteers will spend time both engaging in tutoring activities and
extracurricular activities.
Time: Van leaves BC at 3pm and returns by 7pm

- Thursday - Yawkey Center Food Pantry
Where: Yawkey Center's Food Pantry is one of fifteen Catholic Charities sites in
Boston that provide a wide range of support for families
who need assistance.
What: Volunteers will unload deliveries, stock shelves and help fill orders for
guests.
Time: Van leaves at 3pm and returns by 7pm

* Sign up by Thursday at 5pm of the week before you would like to volunteer.
Step 2: Once your team leader confirms your volunteer date and time, you are signed up and expected to be at the location designated by your team leader.
Step 3: Participate in a volunteer experience in the Boston area with peers and friends.
