As
a Jesuit university, Boston College has an incredibly rich tradition of forming
women and men who are concerned for the welfare of others. We here at the Volunteer
and Service Learning Center are committed to helping members of the B.C. community
find an outlet for expressing their deepest commitments and values through service
to others. Believing that love of God finds its greatest expression in the way
we treat others, the VSLC will work hard to establish strong relationships with
local organizations that serve marginalized members of our society.
The enthusiasm our students demonstrate for service, and the passion they feel for creating a more just world, is evident in the great work being done on campus. Through training, volunteer placements, and helpful resources, the VSLC will continue to nurture that passion and commitment among the members of our academic community, and will provide new opportunities in the days ahead.
Service is a way of life at Boston College. We here at the VSLC want to make it as easy as possible for good people to do good work, particularly as it benefits the most vulnerable members of our society. We hope you will come by and say hello, and let us know how we can serve you.
