Cadets are authorized to move in as early as 23 August for MSIVs; other Cadets, 26 August.

Liberty Battalion Senior Leadership Seminar

Cadets and Cadre from the Liberty Battalion (Northeastern University and BC) conduct an After Action Review of LDAC and a planning conference for the upcoming year.

New Cadet Administrative Logistics Day Obligation Reaffirmation Oath Ceremony and Parents Welcome

28 August 2008
New Cadets meet at Carney 25 for issue of clothing and equipment, and to complete enrollment and contracting paperwork. Parents and friends are welcome to view MSIIs reaffirm their contracting oaths on Bapst Lawn at 4:00 PM, followed by a barbeque and welcome briefing to parents, to provide an overview of BC Army ROTC.

Leadership Labs at Camp Curtis Guild

BC Cadets conduct varied training in a field environment at Camp Curtis Guild in Reading, MA.

Army Physical Fitness Test

BC Cadets will take their first Army Physical Fitness test at 6:30 AM at the PLEX.

Combat Water Survival Test

BC Cadets meet at The PLEX for their first test of their confidence and ability to swim under stressful conditions.

POW/MIA Day Run

BC Cadets host a silent run and flag raising, around campus, to commemorate and honor those who paid a high price for our freedom.

Open PT

24 September 2008
BC  Army ROTC hosts an Open Physical Fitness Training session for the BC community; participate in a good workout, support BC’s Cadets, and experience a Cadet's life.

Parents Weekend

27 September 2008
Parents and Cadets gather for a pre-game tailgate party at the PLEX patio and witness BC’s newest Cadets take their oath during the pre-game activities.

Boston Marine Corps Honor Run

28 September 2008
BC Cadets will compete in the Boston Marine Corps Honor Run at Haughton Pond, 10:00 AM.

Fall Field Training Exercise (FTX)

3-5 October 2008
Cadets from the Liberty Battalion travel to Camp Edwards to take part in a weekend FTX, where they learn to rappel, use an Engagement Skills Trainer, negotiate an obstacle course, fly in helicopters, take part in Field Leaders Reaction Course, and practice squad level tactics.

Army Ten Miler

5 October 2008
Cadets will compete in the Army Ten Miler in Washington, DC.

Ranger Challenge Competition

17-19 October 2008
Cadets and Cadre from the Liberty Battalion (Northeastern University and Boston College) compete at Camp Devens, MA. Ranger Challenge is a physically and mentally demanding competition including weapons qualification, orienteering, patrolling, Army Physical Fitness test and road marching.

Health Professions Information Fair

5 November 2008
Army health professionals, including doctors and nurses, visit to discuss Army health care opportunities: Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP), Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences (USUHS), Army ROTC, and Nursing, as well as direct commission Nursing opportunities.

Veterans Mass and Remembrance Ceremony

In conjunction with the BC Alumni Veterans Remembrance Committee, BC Human Resources, and Army ROTC, Veterans Day and those who have sacrificed are remembered. Gasson 100, from 10:00 AM until Noon.

Semester Record Army Physical Fitness Test

21 November 2008
BC Cadets will take their final Army Physical Fitness test at 6:30 AM at the PLEX. Following this date, physical fitness is on an individual basis, permitting Cadets to prepare for finals.

2008 BC Commissioning Ceremony

BC Army ROTC commissioned seven new officers on 18 May: Matthew Cisto, Kathleen DeTeso, Maura Leo, Alex Riley, Ryan Schiel, William Shirer, and Anthony Tolisano. An eighth 2LT, Jeremy Schiel (photo), was commissioned in July.
