Summer Session Housing, 2014

office of residential life

Fenwick, front entrance

Students attending Summer Session classes find their academic programs enhanced by living on campus. The convenience of being near the libraries, computer center, and other academic facilities, along with the social and educational opportunities afforded by residential living, contributes to the total value of the Summer program. Staff thoroughly familiar with Boston College programs and resources are in residence and capable of responding to most needs of resident living.

Application Process

The Summer Session Housing Application will be available via the Agora Portal and is due by May 6 for SS1 and by June 6 for SS2. All students applying for Summer Session Housing must confirm that they have read and agree to the Summer Housing Residence Agreement  during the application process. If the dates you would like to apply for span both sessions, apply for Summer Sessions 1 & 2, and specify your arrival and departure dates.

Once your Summer Housing Application has been submitted, it will retain the status "Incomplete" until it has been processed by staff. Once it has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email. Application processing will not begin until Monday, May 7. In order for the application to be approved, you must be registered for a course within the applicable Summer session. Students not registered upon submission of a Summer Housing Application will not be approved.

To prevent a delay in processing, please register for your courses prior to applying for housing. If you have already applied for SS1 housing and would like to extend your stay for SS2, please email us at summer.housing@bc.edu by June 10 to let us know, so that we may adjust your application.

Payments & Refunds

Bookings and associated charges will be created for all approved applications using the dates provided in the application; however, there will be no charge for housing prior to May 19. All fees will be charged directly to your student account. All charges are prorated, and a check-in prior to the approved date of arrival or a check-out after the approved date of departure will generate additional charges on your student account. No refunds or adjustments may be made for cancellations or stays shorter than those applied for unless you have cancelled your application via My ResLife or have notified summer.housing@bc.edu prior to your approved date of arrival.
