Off-Campus Information and Resources

office of residential life

Boston College's Off-Campus Housing Office is located in 21 Campanella Way (Suite 220) and assists BC students, faculty, staff, and alumni looking for local housing. The office acts only in an advisory capacity and does not make reservations, appointments, and rental commitments or participate in any negotiations with landlords. Individuals must, on their own, meet with the landlords, inspect the apartments, and make the lease arrangements. Because of varying costs and the quality of accommodations, personal visits to available rooms/apartments should be made before making final arrangements.

The best time to look for fall semester housing is June through the end of August. However, many landlords and agents are prepared to show apartments as early as one year in advance for those undergraduates anticipating living off campus in their junior year. Generally, these apartments turn over year after year. For spring semester housing, the best time to look is late November through the beginning of second semester.
