Residency Agreement 2009-2010

This document, when signed below by you and accepted by Boston College (the “University”) upon its making a room assignment, shall constitute the agreement between you and the University pertaining to your residency in University housing during the 2009-2010 academic year.  The University agrees to provide you with the use of the room assigned to you on the terms and conditions outlined in the Conditions for Residency and contained the Office of Residential Life’s website, www.bc.edu/reslife. The term Conditions for Residency, as used in this Agreement, shall refer to the 2009-2010 Conditions for Residency promulgated by the Boston College Office of Residential Life, as such may be revised pursuant to this Agreement.  The Conditions for Residency is posted on the Boston College Residential Life web page at: http://www.bc.edu/reslifeconditions. Hard copies of the contract may be obtained in the Office of Residential Life. 

In addition to, and notwithstanding anything contrary contained in, the Condition’s for Residency, you agree that the following provisions shall apply to your residency in University housing.
 
CHANGE OF ROOM ASSIGNMENT:  In the event you transfer to a room different from that originally assigned, the terms and conditions of this Agreement will remain in full effect without the execution of a new Agreement.

AGREEMENT PERIOD:  The term of your residency under this Agreement shall commence upon check-in and shall end on the check-out date established by the University. 

RESIDENTIAL MEAL PLAN CONTRACT:  The University Meal Plan is required for any students residing at the Upper, College Road or Newton Campuses, or in Walsh, Greycliff, Vanderslice, 66 Commonwealth Avenue, 90 St. Thomas More, or 110 St. Thomas More halls.  No full or partial abatements will be granted for students residing in these residence halls. Abatement may require housing relocation.

TERMINATION OF RESIDENCY BY THE UNIVERSITY:  The University may terminate this Agreement and your residency in University housing in the event of any material or persistent disregard by you of any of the rules and regulations set forth in the Conditions for Residency or as otherwise provided in the Conditions for Residency or in accordance with other University policy.

MODIFICATIONS TO THE CONDITIONS FOR RESIDENCY:  The University reserves the right to revise and amend the rules and regulations set forth in the Conditions for Residency at any time during the academic year 2009-2010.
