This document, when signed below by you and accepted by Boston College (the “University”) upon its making a room assignment, shall constitute the agreement between you and the University pertaining to your residency in University housing during the 2007-2008 academic year. The University agrees to provide you with the use of the room assigned to you on the terms and conditions outlined in the Conditions for Residency. The term Conditions for Residency, as used in this Agreement, shall refer to the 2007-2008 Conditions for Residency promulgated by the Boston College Office of Residential Life, as such may be revised pursuant to this Agreement. Hard copies of the contract may be obtained in the Office of Residential Life. In addition to, and notwithstanding anything contrary contained in, the Condition’s for Residency, you agree that the following provisions shall apply to your residency in University housing.
CHANGE OF ROOM ASSIGNMENT: In the event you transfer to a room different from that originally assigned, the terms and conditions of this Agreement will remain in full effect without the execution of a new Agreement.
AGREEMENT PERIOD: The applicable term of this Agreement shall be as set out below:
Freshmen, Sophomore and Junior students: The term of this Agreement is for the full academic year, and is effective beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2007, and ending on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at 5:00 p.m.
Senior students: The term of this Agreement is for the full academic year, and is effective beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2007, and ending on Monday, May 19, 2008, at 5:00 p.m.
Fall Semester students: The term of this Agreement begins at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2007, and ends on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 5:00 p.m.
Spring Semester students: The term of this Agreement begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2008, and ends on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at 5:00 p.m.
All Residence Halls will be closed from December 21, 2007 until January 12, 2008.
Any student granted early arrival or late departure status prior to or after the above dates will be bound by the Conditions for Residency during any such extension of the term of residency.
RESIDENTIAL MEAL PLAN CONTRACT: The University Meal Plan is required for any students residing at the Upper, College Road or Newton Campuses, or in Walsh, Greycliff, Vanderslice, 66 Commonwealth Avenue, 90 St. Thomas More, or 110 St. Thomas More halls. No full or partial abatements will be granted for students residing in these residence halls. Abatement may require housing relocation.
TERMINATION OF RESIDENCY BY THE UNIVERSITY: The University may terminate this Agreement and your right to residency in University housing in the event of any material or persistent disregard by you of any of the rules and regulations set forth in the Conditions for Residency.
MODIFICATIONS TO THE CONDITIONS FOR RESIDENCY: The University reserves the right to revise and amend the rules and regulations set forth in the Conditions for Residency at any time during the academic year 2007-2008.
