The Office of Residential Life hires many student employees throughout the entire year for various jobs both in the halls and in our main office.

Interviews will be held on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. There are a limited number of positions, so we urge you to apply early. Academic year positions are typically filled by September 15, however from time to time we need to fill vacancies, so feel free to apply.

Staff are selected based upon a number of characteristics such as availability and previous experience. Please note, the application process for Summer Staff begins in February and requires a different application.

We will contact you via email if you have been invited to participate in the interview process. You will not receive an email if you have not been chosen for an interview.

Position Descriptions

Central Office Front Desk: This worker will staff Residential Life's central office Front Desk and assist in administrative and task oriented functions such as filing paperwork; data entry; answering phones; and taking messages. Applicants should have relevant customer service experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity softare, and be ready to work in a fast paced environment. Applicants should be confortable with multi-tasking; managing multiple phones, phone lines, and one time or ongoing projects.

RD Office Assistant: This worker will staff the Resident Director office and assist in administrative and task oriented functions such as filing paperwork; data entry; creation and posting of flyers, posters, bulletin boards, door tags etc; and taking messages. 

Facilities Assistant: This position will involve but is not limited to, taking inventory, assessing and repairing furnishings, moving heavy furniture and supplies as well as taking delivery of large furniture replacement orders and organizing large quantities of stock. Heavy lifting is a constant daily routine requiring the ability to life a minimum of 50lbs. If you can work in a fast pace environment, are a team player and a self starter who is willing to learn, this could be the job for you.

Quanset Hut Attendant: This position is only available for the Quonset Hut on Newton Campus. This worker will primarily check ID cards of people wanting to enter and use the amenities rooms. They will also be required to respond to any emergency situation that may occur as the result of an injury. This person will also be expected to monitor the weight room to make sure that students are using equipment properly. This position requires the ability to confront students and the ability to lift heavy objects.
