Each class and instructor will be somewhat different, and will provide modifications when possible. All participants should listen to his or her body and work at their own pace. Not all classes will be appropriate for each individual. Try out a few different classes with different instructors.
Barre Fitness: combinations of ballet-inspired lower body work, low-weight resistance training, and bodyweight work, make for an intense, yet low-impact toning workout. Moves are done on the mat and at the barre. No dance experience necessary.
BC-X: expect high-intensity, high-impact interval training in this cardiovascular and muscular endurance workout! Motiving instructors lead plyometric exercises and body weight strength moves. A live DJ plays in some classes!
BC-X & Barbells: takes the high-intensity, high-impact interval training of BC-X, but we’re raising the bar, literally. Non-stop interval circuits will include body weight and plyometric exercises, but with the added challenge of the Iron Grip Strength Equipment. Expect a full-body workout combining resistance strength training and cardio endurance.
Bootcamp: get ready for a great cardio and strength workout! The class will meet in the fitness wing, near the track, for the first 15 minutes, and then relocate to Court #10 for the remaining 45 minutes. This class occassionaly goes outside after the first 15 minutes. Please dress in layers.
BootyBarre™: a fun and energetic mat-based and barre workout that fuses Pilates, dance, yoga, and other fitness techniques, for a muscle-engaging, low-impact workout. Cardio and toning moves are done to the rhythm, but no dance experience is necessary.
Cardio Combat: non-contact martial-arts kickboxing set to fun beat-driven music for an hour. This class is a great cardio alternative to feel empowered and get sweaty!
Cardio Kickboxing: jab, punch, and kick your way through a fun and intense workout. This class also incorporates a short strength-training segment at the end for a complete workout!
Core HIIT Express: similar to Total Body HIIT Express, but with at least one core/abs exercise in each circuit! This high intensity interval training (HIIT) class still provides strength and cardio drills, but with more abdominal burn.
Fitlates: fitness and Pilates-inspired moves for the core, thighs, and glutes are sure to make your muscles burn in this intense class. Be ready for planks! This mat-based workout tests your muscular endurance with long isometrics, high repetitions, and some light dumbbell work.
Mat Pilates: back to the basics of Pilates for this low-impact, classic flow of sequences, which will engage your core for a taller and leaner feeling. The focus is on quality not quantity and muscles are worked evenly to create balance in the body.
Pilates Remix: light cardio, sculpting, and Pilates all mixed together! A sweatier alternative to our other Pilates formats.
Pump It Up: barbell moves are set to great music to get that muscle pump going. Each major muscle group is focused on during this strength-training routine. Minimal cardio included.
Ripped Ride: indoor cycling for the first 35 minutes in the Spin room, a five minute break, and then a strength-based class on Court #10 for the second 35 minutes! Enjoy this fun, challenging cardio-sculpt class. Be prepared to sweat!
Spin: indoor cycling taught to energizing music by a wide variety of instructors with different styles! Classes are labeled as Spin 45 or Spin 60 to differentiate class length in minutes.
TBC-Step: total body conditioning with step! Cardio, strength training, and abs included. This class combines basic step movements so no crazy step combinations here.
Total Body Sculpt: resistance bands, dumbbells, body bars, Valslides, mats and more are used in this head to toe strength training class, all set to the beat of the music. No cardio included.
Total Body Circuits: resistance bands, dumbbells, body bars, Valslides, mats and more are used in this circuit-style head to toe strength training class with cardio bursts!
Total Body HIIT Express: circuit combinations of strength and cardio drills though high intensity interval training (HIIT) to provide a total body workout...all in 30 minutes!
X-Fit: aerobic and anaerobic cardiovascular drills, strength training, and more! This class will benefit any committed individual.
Zumba®: ditch the workout; join the party! This class uses Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness dance program that will blow you away. You will develop core strength and cardiovascular strength, all while having fun!
CorePower® Yoga: this vinyasa-style class will introduce a sequence to build strength and increase flexibility. The class is moderately paced, but ideal for participants of many levels.
Foundations Yoga: a type of Hatha Yoga, which incorporates flow, but also with mindful pauses to emphasize postural alignment and breath.
Hatha Yoga: focus on yoga poses, breathing techniques and meditation to achieve balance between the mind and body. Improve flexibility, strength, concentration and relaxation.
Iyengar Yoga: a type of Hatha Yoga which emphasizes precision and alignment. Postures are held for a longer duration to experience them fully. Build strength, circulation, relaxation, coordination and balance.
Power Yoga: this class will introduce a more vigorous, athletic approach to yoga. The format is characterized by flowing poses and sequences that are linked to the breath. Classes are diverse and will vary with instructor philosophy.
Sunrise Yoga: rise and shine and start your day off right! This class consists of a combination of flow and holding postures. Alignment, coordination and breath are emphasized. You will start your day with a new sense of vitality!
Vinyasa Flow Yoga: a vigorous type of Hatha Yoga consists of a continuous series of postures, which flow together. Postural alignment and coordination of breath and movement are emphasized.
