Maria is a sophomore at Boston College double majoring in Applied Psychology & Human Development and Communications. Maria has more than 14 years of competitive swimming experience and is a current member of the Varsity Swim Team. She has more than four years of experience teaching lessons and coaching swimmers ages 2-15 in her hometown of Bedford, New York. Additionally, since starting at Boston College she has worked with swimmers with special needs on stroke technique and getting comfortable with the water. Maria is looking forward to working with youth to help them develop skills in the water and foster a passion for the sport of swimming.

Hope is a junior at Boston College majoring in Applied Psychology and Human Development. Hope swam competitively for seven years before becoming a member of BC’s varsity Women’s Swimming and Diving team. Hope is a summer swim team head coach at a community pool in her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, where she coaches, manages, and trains 120 swimmers ages 6 to 19. She has four years of experience teaching young swimmers ages 6-10, and two years of experience coaching swimmers 11 years and older. In addition, Hope has volunteered on numerous occasions to provide swim lessons to children and young adults with special needs. Hope wants to foster a passion for swimming and teach fundamental skills of the sport to the swimmers she instructs.

Kevin McConnell is a sophomore at Boston College studying Mathematics and Economics. He hopes to one day enjoy a field that combines the two subjects. He has been swimming his entire life, from swimming in his backyard pool, to swimming at the local beach on Long Island, to swimming and diving for his high school swim team. He has been lifeguarding at a day camp on Long Island for the past 2 years, and began teaching swim lessons to campers age 4-12 this past year. He particularly developed his skills in working with young swimmers at this camp. While most of his teaching experience comes from group lessons, he also has experience teaching individual lessons for swimming and diving.

Flora Hepp is a freshman at Boston College studying Biology with a pre-med concentration. She swam on a summer swim team for 10 years, from 2007 to 2017, and her favorite strokes are freestyle and backstroke. Flora has been a lifeguard for four years and currently works as a lifeguard at the Plex. She has been teaching swim lessons since 2015. Her teaching experience is with group lessons of 9-10’s focusing on improving their stroke, group lessons of toddlers teaching them how to blow bubbles and move their arms for freestyle, as well as private swim lessons for children learning to swim perfect stroke freestyle. Additionally, Flora has volunteered to teach an adapted aquatics class for the past 3 years, which is a class that works with children and adults with disabilities and teaches them how to swim. She is grateful for this opportunity to teach swim lessons at Boston College because she wants to share her love of swimming with others.

Rebecca Ramjug is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Sociology on a Pre-Medical track. She started swimming at the age of nine on a local swim team in her hometown and continued with them until she entered high school. She received her lifeguard/CPR certification coming out of high school and has guarded at the Plex since the start of her freshman year. This is her first year teaching at the Plex, but she loves working with younger kids as she has three younger siblings of her own, the youngest of which is her age when she started swimming. In the other free time she has at BC, she's dancing for the Latin dance team, Vida de Intensa Pasiòn. She enjoys teaching because she loved learning how to swim herself at such a young age.

Allison joined a swim team when she was 10 and swam until she graduated high school. She was the captain of the swim team during her senior year. She has been teaching lessons since she was 16 and her favorite stroke is backstroke. Allison is on the varsity women's rowing team at BC and is concentrating in Information Systems in CSOM.

Julianna a sophomore at Boston College majoring in Islamic Civilizations and Societies. Julianna has more than 14 years of competitive swimming experience and is a current member of the Varsity Swim Team at Boston College. She has more than two years of experience teaching lessons to children ages 3 - 6 and lifeguarding in her hometown of Boca Raton, Florida. Additionally, since starting at Boston College, she has worked with swimmers with special needs on stroke technique and getting comfortable with the water through the volunteer organization Project Swim. Julianna is excited to expand your child’s familiarity and skills in the water while also sharing her love of the sport of swimming.

Peter is a Junior in the Carroll School of Management at BC, majoring in accounting. He has been a competitive swimmer for 13 years, including being a member of the club swim team's national team and a member of the Division 1 swim team here at BC. He has experience teaching at both introductory levels of swimming and higher performing. He has served as an assistant head coach of a summer league swim team for two summers, and worked as a swim instructor for both group and private lessons for six years.

Emma swam on her high school varsity swim team all four years, her strongest events being the 200 IM and 100 Butterfly. She lifeguards during the summer at Paulinskill Lake in Stillwater, NJ as well as assists in teaching swim lessons there to children ages 3-12. At BC, she is currently a freshman on the pre-medical track, considering a major in biology, psychology, or perspectives.

Kathryn is a junior majoring in International Studies, minoring in Theater. She has been swimming competitively since childhood. As an Air Force brat, Kathryn has lived all over the world, but has always managed to find a pool and keep swimming. Kathryn believes that swimming is not only a wonderful sport, but a life skill that everyone should learn. She has a lot of experience with kids doing volunteer work at schools and working as a summer camp counselor, and has been coaching and teaching swim lessons for a year at BC. Kathryn is Red Cross First Aid and First Responder certified. She is excited to meet new swimmers and help them to learn to be safe, have fun, and develop strokes in the water.

Victor is a sophomore at BC studying economics and history. He's always loved to swim, but he began swimming on a team when he was in 9th grade. Unfortunately, his school had to shut down the swimming program due to lack of funding, so Victor bounced around local swim clubs for the rest of his time in high school. He has been lifeguarding at a local lake for the past three summers, and he also guards and teaches free swim lessons for his hometown.
Availability: Diving only Fridays 4:30 - 7:00 PM, Saturdays 3:00 - 5:00 PM, and Sundays 4:30 - 6:00 PM
Robert is a Junior at Boston College. He is a member of the diving team, and has been diving for almost 10 years. From the Summers of 2014 to 2017 he was the head coach of a local summer diving team, where he coached divers of skill levels ranging from beginner to intermediate. He is studying a double major in Economics and Communication. Robert looks forward to another semester teaching group and private lessons.

Jackson Rotondo is from Fairfield, CT and has been diving for eight years. He is in his third year as a member of the dive team at BC and is majoring in Economics. Jackson has been head dive coach for the past two summers for the Field Club of Greenwich. He taught diving lessons last semester at BC and is looking forward to another great semester of teaching.

Ellie is a freshman from Maine in the College of Arts and Sciences studying communications and journalism. An an avid swimmer since childhood, Ellie is excited to have the opportunity to share her love of swimming with others. Ellie swam competitively throughout middle and high school and for the past three summers she has taught swimming at a youth summer camp. In addition to teaching swimming, Ellie has been a lifeguard for the past four years and currently works as a lifeguard at the Plex.

Julia is a freshman in the Lynch School of Education studying Elementary Education and Applied Psychology. She started swimming competitively in 8th grade and was the captain of her Varsity Swim Team in high school. She is American Red Cross certified in CPR and First Aid and she spends her summers lifeguarding in Ardsley, NY and giving swim lessons in Riverdale, NY. She has experience working with children and she also babysits and worked as a camp counselor. Julia looks forward to teaching any child because she believes that swimming is such an important skill to develop.

Zach is a 7-time State Champion swimmer studying Mathematics at BC. He loves to coach and teach. He also leads ~100 future navy officers in the BU–MIT Navy ROTC Battalion as its Chief Operations Officer. Zach swam on the Varsity Swim Team at BC and in high school. He is an experienced, safety-minded swim instructor and has been a Special Olympics Coach for two years. During high school in MN, he earned a Scholastic All-American (4.0 GPA) from USA Swimming and held many Minnesota State records.

Kira is a freshman at Boston College in the Lynch School of Education studying Applied Psychology and Human Development with a second major in Communications. She is from Glastonbury, CT and has had a love for the water her whole life. Kira is Red Cross CPR certified. For the past two summers, Kira has been a swim instructor for children ages 5 to 12 in Groton Long Point, CT. Kira is very experienced working with kids babysitting, nannying, and being a swim instructor and cannot wait to share her love of the water and swimming with kids at BC.

Kyle is a senior at Boston College double majoring in Marketing & Entrepreneurship with a minor in Film Studies. Kyle has more than 15 years of competitive swimming experience and is a current member of the Varsity Swim Team. He has 2 years of experience teaching lessons and coaching swimmers ages 4-15 on Long Island with the Long Island Swim School. Kyle is looking forward to working with youth to help them become the best swimmers they can be.

Billy is a junior at Boston College co-concentrating in Marketing and Leadership/Management with a minor in Theology. He has been competitively swimming for fifteen years, was a member of his club’s national team and is currently a member of BC’s Division I Varsity team. He has taught lessons for three years and coached swimming for two years in age ranging from 2-17. His swimmers have won age group state championships, regional championships, and city championships. He has experience teaching at both introductory levels of swimming and higher performing. He loves to work on specific stroke technique with newer swimmers, teaching them how to do all four strokes and helping them reach their highest potential. Billy looks forward to sharing his passion for the sport of swimming with other youths and families.
