The Boston College Women's Club Squash team, which is a member of the College Squash Association (CSA) became recognized in the 2009-2010 season. During the regular season, BCWCS has the opportunity to play varsity and club teams in and around Boston such as Boston University, Northeastern, Tufts, Wellesley, and Harvard, as well as taking trips to play teams in Philadelphia and Maine. The team’s season begins at the end of September, when cuts are made, and goes through February when they go to Nationals. The team generally tends to have a roster of fifteen players, often taking naturally gifted athletes with little squash experience. In these months, the team practices three times a week in the evenings. Every player on the team gets the opportunity to go to at least one match where they participate in play as well as refereeing the matches of their teammates. The team has a lot of fun together while remaining competitive to sustain their spot as one of the top club teams in the nation!
