The Boston College Women’s Rugby Club was founded in 1979 and competes at both the national and league level, with numerous titles and championships under their belt. The team is a member of the Northeast Women’s Collegiate Rugby Conference within USA Rugby and plays against teams such as UCONN and Boston University during their regular season play. BC Women’s Rugby is active in both the spring and fall seasons, although their main season is in the fall which begins with preseason a week before the start of school. In the fall the team practices three times a week in the afternoons, and in the spring they practice two times a week in the mornings. There are no cuts and everyone is welcome, with no prior experience necessary! There is both an A-side and a B-side match at almost every game, so everyone will get a chance to enjoy watching and playing rugby regardless of skill level.
