The Boston College Women's Club Lacrosse Team competes in the New England Women's Lacrosse League (NEWLL) which is part of the Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (WCLA). The team competes at a high level of competition within the northeast region and is also nationally recognized every season. Tryouts are held in October and preseason workouts and indoor practices begin after winter break. The team’s competition season begins, weather permitting, in March when they begin practicing one-three times a week with one or two games as well. The team also competes in one out-of-state tournament each season and in previous seasons has traveled to Austin, Atlanta, and Baltimore. The goal each season is to qualify for the national tournament that takes place in early May. In addition to its competitiveness, the team fosters a learning and supportive environment for student athletes. Not only does the team establish team chemistry on the field, but it also creates relationships that last beyond college.
