The Boston College Club Cycling Team is a member of the Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference (ECCC), one of the 11 collegiate USA Cycling conferences. The team races against over 50 schools that range in geography from Canada to Pennsylvania. Racing in both the fall and the spring, the cycling team has both mountain and road racing teams. The conference is well-suited to introducing people to racing as well as hosting competitive categories for the more experienced riders. The team's practices consist of team spin classes three nights a week and group rides on the weekends that focus on long distances and building racing skills. All are welcome as the team seeks to introduce new people to the sport, while also helping veterans racers grow. Prior Racing, or even having a bike, is not required as team members choose how involved with the team they would like to be. Some members choose to only take advantage of the spin classes and the team camaraderie while others participate in every aspect of the team.
