"Carnival of the Animals" Feb. 9

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. (February 2014) -- The Boston College Music Department will present "Carnival of the Animals" by Camille Saint-Saëns, a special classical piece for children performed by Boston College students, faculty and alumni. The family opera, which is free and open to the public, will take place on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 4:30 p.m. in Lyons Hall, room 423. During the performance, pianos, violins, a cello, a bass, a flute, a clarinet and voice bring animals to life through music.The musicians also incorporate the audience into the performance.
