Boston College to Host Boston Theological Institute's Choirfest: Feb. 4

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. (January 2014) -- The Boston College School of Theology and Ministry will host the Second Annual Boston Theological Institute Choirfest on Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. in St. Ignatius Church. The event is free and open to the public.
Choirfest is an ecumenical gathering of local schools of theology and ministry featuring the music of different religious traditions.
The STM Choir, under the direction of Lynn Burns, will perform Anton Bruckner's Ave Maria with the Saint John's Seminary choir. Other schools participating are: Andover Newton Theological School, Boston University School of Theology, Episcopal Divinity School, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Harvard Divinity School, Hebrew College, and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. Also participating in Choirfest will be Noor Ensemble, led by Abdoul Adam.
The Boston Theological Institute is an association of 10 university divinity schools, schools of theology and seminaries in the Greater Boston area. It is one of the oldest and largest theological consortia in the world.
