Jack Dunn
Director
Jack Dunn oversees all of the University’s public and media relations efforts and serves as its primary spokesman and strategist. A graduate of Boston College, Dunn holds a master’s degree in public relations from Boston University. Prior to assuming his position in December of 1998, he served as vice president of external affairs at Catholic Charities from 1994-1998. He also served as director of development and public relations at Boston College High School from 1988-1994, and also worked as a reporter and freelance correspondent for several publications. He also teaches undergraduate courses in Advanced Public Relations at BC.

Patricia Delaney
Deputy Director
Patti Delaney is deputy directy of the office, assisting in public and media relations strategy, overseeing efforts to provide faculty sources for the media, and working to promote external recognition of faculty research, special University programs and events. She also directs content for BC Info and oversees special projects. A graduate of Boston College with a joint degree in English and Communication, she returned to her alma mater following a career in radio broadcasting, during which she worked as an announcer, news anchor and news/commercial producer at a number of stations in Boston and New England. In addition, she has done commercial and documentary narration, and has taught undergraduate courses in public relations, broadcast writing and radio management.

Ed Hayward
Associate Director
Ed Hayward is an associate director in the office and staff writer for the Boston College Chronicle. In addition to working with the news media to publicize the accomplishments of faculty, staff and students, he serves as the office’s liaison to the departments of Biology, Chemistry, Geology and Geophysics, and Physics, the Carroll School of Management, and the Lynch School of Education. Prior to joining BC, he served as the Associate Vice Chancellor for University Communications at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Hayward spent 16 years as an award-winning newspaper reporter in California and Massachusetts. At the Boston Herald he covered breaking news throughout New England and the US, in addition to in-depth reporting on K-12 education, higher education, state politics, the fishing industry, Irish affairs, and capital punishment. Hayward holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is currently studying for his MBA.

Reid Oslin
Associate Director
Reid Oslin is an associate director of the office and a staff writer for the Boston College Chronicle. In this role he serves as contact for general news; hometown releases; all requests for photography/videotape/film projects; institutional history. Public Affairs liaison to Alumni Association, Athletic Association, Carroll School of Management, Chief Executives' Club of Boston, Development Office, Economics Department and History Department. Oslin was BC's Sports Information Director for 24 years (1974-1997) before joining Public Affairs staff in present capacity. Oslin also served as an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission. A 1968 graduate of the College of Arts & Sciences, he received a master's degree from the Graduate School of Social Work in 1971.

Sean Smith
Editor
Sean Smith is editor of the Boston College Chronicle, the University's faculty-staff newspaper. He also is office liaison to the Graduate School of Social Work, the College of Arts and Sciences, the Political Science Department and the Office of Irish Programs. Smith joined Boston College in 1989 as a staff writer in what was then the Office of Communications, and was appointed Chronicle editor in February of 2000. Before arriving at BC, Smith worked as assistant editor and staff writer at NewsWest, a weekly newspaper based in Natick. He also was a staff writer and sports editor for the Blackstone Valley Tribune in Whitinsville, Mass. He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University.

Rosanne Pellegrini
Senior Media Relations Officer
Rosanne Pellegrini is a senior media relations officer in BC’s Office of Public Affairs. In this role, she works with members of the Boston College faculty to promote research, projects and events to the external community. She can provide information on faculty sources available to offer media commentary, perspective and analysis on a broad range of topics and issues. She serves as liaison to the Boston College Arts Council, the McMullen Museum of Art at Boston College and other arts-related academic departments and organizations on campus. She is an alumna of Boston College.

Kathleen Sullivan
Media Relations Officer
Kathy Sullivan is a media relations officer in Boston College's Office of Public Affairs. She is primarily engaged in media relations efforts, working with journalists on source requests and generating print, broadcast and electronic media attention for Boston College events, programs, research and people. She also writes for the Boston College Chronicle, the newspaper for faculty and staff. She is the Public Affairs liaison to the Connell School of Nursing, Information Technology Services, Film Studies Program and centers, departments and institutes related to the University's Jesuit/Catholic tradition. Kathy is a graduate of Boston College with a degree in marketing.

Melissa Beecher
Senior Staff Writer
Melissa Beecher is a staff writer for the Boston College Chronicle, the University's faculty-staff newspaper and assists in adding content to the BC Info website. Liaison to the Law School, Student Affairs Office, Philosophy Department and University Research, Beecher joined Boston College in 2007. Prior to BC, Beecher was an award-winning journalist in the Boston area for 10 years, working as a correspondent for The Boston Globe, a staff writer for The Salem News on the North Shore and The Daily News Tribune in Waltham. Beecher holds a master's degree in journalism from Boston University and a B.S. in journalism from Suffolk University.
