Project Timetables

office of marketing communications

The following time estimates reflect the norm for an average project within OMC and through external vendors. More complicated design, long text, and complicated production processes can alter the delivery date by weeks or even months. These time estimates allow for scheduling of all photography, research, design, proofreading, and production stages for an average project. The time frame starts on the date of the initial meeting with OMC and ends with delivery of a printed piece or finished Web pages.

Sample Time Estimates

  • brochure/booklet: 6-8 weeks
  • invitation/program: 8-10 weeks (depending on event and mailing schedules)
  • bulletin/viewbook; reprints: 10-12 weeks; new design: 8-12 months
  • special event planning and execution: 3-6 months
