The OISS Thanksgiving Host Program was established twenty years ago in order to give BC international students the opportunity to experience a traditional American holiday and a place to go during a time when most American students return home.  By matching graduate, undergraduate and exchange students with BC faculty and staff members, the OISS provides international students the opportunity to learn about American culture and share their culture with a member of the BC community and his/her family.... If you have visited the OISS lately, you may have already met the OISS’ two student workers.  If not, now is the opportunity to get to know Shin Young Hwang and Janice Tam, two BC undergraduate international students and the two OISS student workers.    
Janice is a junior accounting and finance major.  Janice was born in Hong Kong, but moved to New Zealand when she was young.  When she was 5 years old, Janice and her family moved to Vancouver, Canada where she attended high school.  Janice speaks a number of languages including...Continue

It has been a busy semester for ICBC! We want to thank everyone for coming to our International Prom and International Education Week events! We are already planning our events for the spring, including a Spring Fling dance, World Fiesta and much more!
